ISOThe lower the ISO number, the less sensitive it is to the light, therefore a higher ISO number increases the light sensitivity to your camera. By using a lower ISO, it will improve your photo quality. If it ends up under exposed (dark), increase the ISO but the higher the number, the grainier the photo. Therefore if your photo ends up being over exposed (bright) then decrease the ISO.

ApertureAperture is the unit of measurement that defines the size of the opening in the lens that can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or digital sensor. With a lower f-stop number, you can focus on the object/ person and blur the foreground and background (shallow depth of field). With a high f-stop number it'll keep the photo sharp and have everything in focus (wide depth of field).
